The Macanudo product line of cigars is produced exclusively in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Macanudo was originally the name of a frontmark produced in Jamaica by the makers of the Cuban cigar brand Punch. The distinct Macanudo-smooth taste is attributed to a flavorful blend of Dominican tobaccos, a select binder from the Tuxtla Valley of Mexico, and a premium Connecticut Shade or Broadleaf wrapper. The result is a consistent cigar that always delivers a distinctly smooth, mellow taste. Macanudo cigars are truly exceptional because the makers actually grow, cure, and age their own Connecticut wrappers and also age all of their tobaccos twice, just as it was done in Havana during the golden age of Cuban cigars.
